Here you find brocade fabric samples for framing your Thangkas. All are of genuine silk brocade. The cover fabric isantique yellowembellished with a rich ornamental pattern.
The price depends on the type of fabric and size (please measure your Thangka exactly in cm or inches, but do not include the painted edge of the Thangka in this measurement!) Finely chased brass caps for the lower rod are included in the frame kit; likewise included are the instructions for easily mounting the frame on your Thangka.

Please note that on occasion, our tailors don’t have exactly the same fabric on stock as the one you choose, since they are dependent on the deliveries from Varanasi (Benares), where these fabrics originate. In such cases, a brocade is used which is as close as possible to the one you chose in color and design. We will ship the finished frame to you together with the finely worked brass end-caps for the wooden rod pushed through the hollow hem of the lower piece of brocade, including instructions for fast and easy mounting on your scroll painting.

Contrary to our general terms of business, it is unfortunately not posssible to return a finished frame, as this is made exclusively according to your specific wishes and dimensions, and is subsequently not useable for any other purpose. A cancellation of the order is possible as long as it has not yet been forwarded to the tailor. In this case, you will not be charged.

For organizational reasons, waiting periods of up to 6 months may arise. For orders from outside Germany, a down payment of 40 % is required.
